The vision is to unite Victoria Gardens with Richmond’s evolving urban environment via wide, active street frontages, a new fresh food market hall, civic plazas, and a network of open-air laneways that will truly connect the centre to its surrounds.

05|Asia's first Harry Potter Theme Park is set to open
Asia's first Harry Potter Theme Park has been confirmed to open on 16 June 2023, with pre-order tickets going on sale on 22 March, according to official report.
The park, located in Tokyo of Japan, began construction in 2021. It is the second Warner-owned park in the world, after London, and the only one in Asia that offers a complete experience of Harry Potter.

Brunello Cucinelli, the Italian luxury goods group, reported a 29.1% y-o-y jump in sales to €920 million in its 2022 financial year, and a 51.3% jump from 2019 before the epidemic. Asia, where China is located, also recorded a 28.1% increase to €220 million. Currently, China accounts for about 12% of the market, and Brunello Cucinelli hopes to increase that even further in a new five-year plan.

据伯恩斯坦分析师透露,中国奢侈品消费的强劲反弹给予了奢侈品牌很大的信心,大部分品牌预计其在中国市场的门店销售额有望翻一倍或三倍,该积极态势将延续至明年,未来两年会保持双位数的增长。

The strong rebound in luxury spending in China has given luxury brands a lot of confidence, with most expecting to double or triple their store sales in China into next year and double-digit growth for the next two years, according to Bernstein analysts.
02|中国内地消费者在海外的购物已恢复近三分之一
据环球蓝联发布的2月份免税购物简报显示,欧洲大陆和亚太地区的免税购物复苏势头强劲。对比疫情前,全球门店可比销售额在1月的恢复率高达102%,2月恢复率为90%。该报告续指,自1月以来,中国内地购物者在海外的购买力一直在稳步改善,在欧洲大陆地区消费的恢复率为22%,在亚太地区消费的恢复率为27%。
02|Overseas shopping by the mainland of China consumers has recovered by nearly a third
Continental Europe and the Asia-Pacific region have seen a strong recovery in duty-free shopping, according to the February duty-free shopping brief released by Global Blue. 
Comparable sales at global stores recovered 102% in January and 90% in February, compared with pre-pandemic levels. The purchasing power of the mainland of China consumers in abroad has been steadily improving since January, with a recovery rate of 22% in continental Europe and 27% in the Asia-Pacific region, the report added.

03|新秀丽去年收入大涨逾42%

03|Samsonite's revenues jumped more than 42% last year

In the 12 months to the end of December 2022, Samsonite’s sales jumped 42.5% y-o-y to $2.879 billion, while net profit jumped 1,345% to $338 million from $23.5 million a year earlier. Samsonite posted strong growth in all regions of the world during the reporting period, with North America up 44.6%, Europe 103.6% and Latin America 72.5%. Asian markets, including China, also rose 43.9% y-o-y.

04|London retailers worried about losing customers to Paris and Milan

Harrods has joined hundreds of retailers including Harvey Nichols in urging UK finance minister Jeremy Hunt to reinstate tax-free shopping for overseas visitors to spur a recovery in spending and prevent customers losing to Paris and Milan. According to Global Blue’s data, spending by US tourists to the UK in 2022 returned to 101% of 2019 levels, but the recovery rate in France and Italy was as high as 256% and 226% respectively.
